Where is Ecorefugio located?

In Chile, in the Maule region, at the Colbún reservoir, peninsula of Patagua, 40 minutes from Talca, the regional capital, and 4 hours from Santiago's international airport.

How to get there by public transport?

The nearest airport is in Santiago, Chile (SCL). There is a bus station directly inside the airport that will take you to stop 2/Central Station in 36 minutes. The new express train will take you to the city of Talca in 3 hours. Schedule and prices can be checked at www.efe.cl
From the Talca train station (CFF), you can take a taxi that will take you to our facilities in 45 minutes, with an approximate taxi fare of 50 USD.

How to get there by car?

From Santiago, approximate travel time: 3h 30m If you have Waze or Google Maps, it’s very easy; just type in the app: Ecorefugio spa and you will be guided directly to our facilities. The last 2 km are dirt road, generally in good condition and accessible for any vehicle; we recommend traveling during daylight hours.

About our Refuges

How do I access my shelter?

Each of our shelters has a digital access system. After check-in, you will receive the access code. At the start of the suspended walkways that lead to all our shelters, you will find a map indicating the location of your shelter.

Are pets allowed in the Resort?

Your pet is more than welcome to stay with you.

What time is breakfast served?

Between 9:00 and 9:30, you'll hear the good morning message, which will indicate that your breakfast tray will be available on your terrace. You only need to heat water in your kitchen to enjoy our delicious breakfast. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances.

We will collect the tray between 11:00 and 11:30. The containers are reusable, so they are not included in the breakfast.

Breakfast is included in your stay, and it is for 2 people. Additional charge for breakfast: $15 USD

When to change the sheets?

ECOREFUGIO, through its “Go Green” concept, promotes the care of resources. Therefore, a sanitized kit with bedding and towels will be delivered on the third day of your stay with us. You will be asked to leave the closed bag of used bedding and towels on the terrace.

How do I contact reception?

Through our WhatsApp (+56 9 3178 4305), you can communicate with reception, get information, request services for your stay, book tours, and address any questions you may have.

What time is check-in?

Our Check-In time is from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; if for any reason you cannot arrive within that time frame, you can do a late check-in which has a cost of $12 USD.

About the Activities

Where are outdoor activities held?

All tours and expeditions are conducted at our facilities, starting and ending there as well.

Are the activities available all year round?

Most of our activities are available year-round; however, some, such as sailing tours and kayak rentals, are only available from November to March, the time when the Colbún reservoir is at the appropriate level for these activities.

Is it necessary to book activities in advance?

It's not necessary, you can book them during your stay; however, we recommend booking them in advance, as they are personalized and have limited availability, so we cannot guarantee their availability without prior reservation.

What happens if the activity cannot be performed?

If for any reason we cannot provide the service, we will refund your money.
